Austrian gaming technology group Novomatic has completed its acquisition of French casino operator Vikings Casinos, following regulatory approval from all relevant licensing authorities.
The deal, announced in January, marks a strategic milestone in Novomatic’s long-term international expansion strategy, deepening its presence in one of Europe’s most competitive and high-potential gaming markets.
Vikings Casinos operates around 1,000 gaming terminals across 11 land-based casinos in France, including high-profile venues on the Côte d’Azur, and employs more than 300 staff.
Founded in Falaise in 1998, the French group has become a respected name in the local gaming sector.
The company was originally launched as a partnership between Vikings SAS, chaired by Serge Foucher, and Jeux C. Casino Consultant, led by Luc Le Borgne.
