Norsk Tipping has informed national media that Ã…sne Havenelid has chosen to end her six-year tenure as Chief Executive of Norway’s gambling monopoly for lottery and sports betting.
A departure date has not been confirmed, as Havenelid has agreed to remain in her role until a successor is found.
The former secretary-general of Norway’s Red Cross, Havenelid took leadership of Norsk Tipping in 2016 following the departure of former incumbent Torbjørn Almlid.
Issuing a statement Norsk Tipping Chair Linda Bernander Silseth praised Havenelid ‘goal-orientated leadership’ that had delivered on all objectives helping Norway’s gambling monopoly raise funds for national civic and good causes.
