The Norwegian government has confirmed the appointment of Tonje Sagstuen as the acting CEO of Norsk Tipping. Sagstuen will replace Thor Gjermund Eriksen, who is set to leave Norway’s gambling and lotteries monopoly at the end of this month.
During H1 trading, Eriksen announced his acceptance of the role of Managing Director at Bane NOR, Norway’s state-owned rail network firm.
Subsequently, Norsk Tipping announced that Sagstuen would assume acting leadership duties from 1 September until a permanent replacement for Eriksen is found.
A former Olympian, Sagstuen represented Norway’s handball team in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She has been part of the Norsk Tipping executive team since 2014.
