New York sportsbooks set weekly revenue record at $67 million

The demise of America’s team led to delight for Empire State mobile betting apps, as the New York State Gaming Commission reported a record $67.3 million in sports wagering revenue for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 14.

The figure easily cleared the previous best of $62 million set the week of Oct. 15, as three online operators posted all-time highs in weekly winnings and another three had top-five marks. FanDuel extended its state record for the biggest winning week by any of the nine mobile sportsbooks in New York, collecting $33.4 million. Its previous high was $32.3 million the week ending Sept. 10.

The collective hold was 15.1%, second only to the 15.4% attained the week of Oct. 15.
