The Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino in Schenectady will be closed Mondays through Thursdays beginning Feb. 1 until further notice, hotel management said Tuesday.
The hotel is adjacent to Rivers Casino, which has been operating with capacity limited to 25 percent of normal and with a 10 p.m. closing time. The hotel will resume 24-7 operation when coronavirus restrictions are lifted. The casino currently opens at 6 a.m. daily.
Spokesman Al Roney said the shortened hours would lead to the temporary furlough of five employees.
Hotels and restaurants have been hard hit by the pandemic, with heavy job losses as a result.
