The New Hampshire Lottery has suspended the charitable gaming license of a former state senator who was accused of misusing COVID-19 relief funds.
The suspension came Thursday after a hearing officer ruled the day before that the lottery commission had just cause to suspend former state Sen. Andy Sanborn’s charitable gaming license for six months.
The decision means that Sanborn’s Concord Casino must shut down as of Jan. 1. If the business isn’t sold during the following six-month period, the license will be revoked, lottery officials said.
