Whiskey Pete’s, the well-known casino on the drive between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, will be closed for upwards of three years, according to a letter submitted to the Clark County Board of Commissioners.
As of Dec. 17, casino and hotel Whiskey Pete’s in Primm abruptly shuttered, redirecting patrons on its website to book a room instead at Buffalo Bill’s. The castle-shaped desert resort on the California-Nevada border opened in 1977 and is now operated by Affinity Interactive, which also owns the nearby Primm Valley Resort and Buffalo Bill’s. In a statement, Affinity Interactive CEO Scott Butera said the company has “temporarily closed Whiskey Pete’s Casino in order to feature new and ongoing investments at Primm Resorts and Buffalo Bills.”
