It’s the end of an era in north Lake Tahoe as the Tahoe Biltmore is slowly winding down its time in the area. Built in 1946, now 76 years later, the Tahoe Biltmore is closing its doors for good in a little over a month.
For many, the Biltmore was more than slots and games. Residents the News 4 & Fox 11 Team spoke with said the hotel/casino meant stability, family and plenty of memories.
General Manager at the Tahoe Biltmore Tyler Gaffaney said, “I remember the 1.99 breakfast in the café. My parents got married here in the seventies.”
Tahoe Biltmore employee, Chad, recalled, “We would come here, my buddies would come up from the East Bay to come gambling.”
