Nevada: Construction begins on 9,500-square-foot Carson City casino

Shaheen Beauchamp Builders recently broke ground on a 9,500-square-foot casino in Carson City. The Lucky Strike Casino will be at 2811 S. Carson St., formerly the location of Grandma Hattie’s restaurant.

According to an Aug. 9 press release, the casino is owned by Northern Nevada Comstock Investments, which operates several gaming locations throughout Northern Nevada, including Comstock Casino, Cactus Jacks and Jackpot Crossing in Carson City, the Fernley Nugget, COD Casino in Minden and the Fallon Nugget. The architect for the project is Frank Woodliff of Fallon, and Lumos and Associates is the civil engineer.
