A new casino is coming to South Sioux City, Nebraska. And, the process to design the new Warhorse Casino is almost done.
It’s a plot of land south of Highway 20 in South Sioux City.
Ho-Chunk Inc, the economic development arm of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, is leading this project which follows previous WarHorse casinos built in Omaha and Lincoln.
Construction is expected to start this summer. And, it could be done within 18 months.
The project is privately funded by Ho-Chunk. Lance Morgan, Ho-Chunk’s CEO, says he’s shocked by how much it costs to build a casino.
