A recent example emerged at the University of Texas at Austin where 5 people- two football players, an athletic department employee, an athletic department student worker and another non-student athlete working with the women’s tennis program, were identified as collectively placing almost $15,000 in bets via PrizePicks, a fantasy sports site.
