The Dunkin County Sheriff’s Office, along with law enforcement from Kennett, Malden, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, confiscated over 70 gambling machines.

Kennett Police Chief Kenny Wilson said four raids happened in Kennett.

“I think it was a win on the city’s side to get rid of some of these illegal machines,” said Wilson.

Machines that Wilson said attract unlawful acts.

“I’m not going to sit here and say all the businesses that had these machines were trouble spots because they weren’t, but sometimes it tends to attract illegal activity when you have this stuff going on,” said Wilson.
