Gun Lake Casino is celebrating the opening of its new hotel on Friday.
Guests are pouring through the doors, securing their reservations, officially making Gun Lake a casino and resort.
The ribbon cutting Friday morning started with a prayer and blessing from Phyllis Davis, former councilwoman of the Gun Lake tribe, before welcoming eager guests to the new 16-story hotel. The sleek new building features about 250 rooms, 31 suites and a massive two-story penthouse topping it all. Guests can enjoy a new spa, cafe and additional casino floor space.
