Another month, another batch of cease-and-desist letters to unlicensed casinos by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
This time, the MGCB sent official cease-and-desist letters to eight unlicensed casinos, including Slots of Vegas and Spin Dimension. Throughout August, the Michigan Gaming Control Board sent cease-and-desist letters to other unlicensed casinos.
Legal online gambling in Michigan reached the $9 billion lifetime mark in gaming revenue in August, but there is still plenty money being spent “offshore.”
Even with 15 legal online casinos in Michigan and the top sportsbooks, according to the American Gaming Association, Michiganders (and the rest of Americans) bet more than $670 billion yearly at illegal gambling sites.
