MGM Springfield has launched a new program designed to help gamblers stop before losing control.

The PlayWell program, overseen by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, serves as a resource to help keep gambling a form of entertainment instead of a way of life. “We want to make sure that anybody who feels that they have a problem with gaming, that they have a place to go to get help,” said Brad Hill, commissioner of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

The new hub at MGM Springfield casino is designed to save millions for gamblers through several programs. One feature is PlayMyWay, a first-in-the-nation program implemented in Massachusetts, which allows people to put a limit on how much they will gamble during the day.
