Mexican airline Volaris has announced a new flight between Tijuana and Las Vegas beginning on Oct. 29 — the second direct service from the Tijuana International Airport to a U.S. destination and its second international route overall.
The one-hour flight will be offered three times a week — Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday — on a 186-seat Airbus A320neo aircraft. It departs Tijuana at 3:50 p.m. and arrives at 4:50 p.m. From Las Vegas, it departs at 6:20 p.m. and arrives in Tijuana at 7:20 p.m.
Flights on the new route can now be booked on the Volaris website.
Tijuana’s airport, which has invested about $222 million in modernization and expansion over the past five years, now offers 38 destinations, two of which are international, including the direct flight to Phoenix that opened earlier this year.
