The furniture magnate and famed sports bettor — whose real name is Jim McIngvale — has placed a $1.5 million bet on TCU to win Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game, per the Action Network’s Darren Rovell.
McIngvale placed the wager with DraftKings Sportsbook, where he received +370 odds — meaning a victory for the Horned Frogs over Georgia would yield $5.55 million in winnings.
Mattress Mack has become famous for using large, high-profile sports bets to offset promotions he runs in his Houston-area Gallery Furniture stores.
