Legal gambling produced more than $94 million in revenue for the state’s casinos and slots parlor last month with more than $26.5 million of that due to the state, the Gaming Commission announced Monday.

Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield and Encore Boston Harbor together generated $94.35 million in gross gaming revenue in September. The Everett casino led the way as it does each month, hauling in more than $61.58 million last month (about $32.9 million from slots and $28.6 million from table games). Encore owes the state roughly $15.4 million in taxes on its September gaming revenue.

MGM Springfield was the only one of the three facilities to post a decline in gaming revenue from August ($21.99 million) to September ($20.57 million).
