Plainridge Park Casino is targeting late spring or early summer to finish turning Flutie’s Sports Pub into its permanent retail Barstool Sportsbook. That’s according to a Plainridge Park racing official, who shared the update with PlayMA on Wednesday.
“Not for another few months,” the official said.
(Several calls to Plainridge Park Casino went unanswered. The racing department was the only department to pick up.)
Plainridge Park Casino opened a temporary Barstool Sportsbook on Jan. 31, when in-person sports betting in Massachusetts went live. Flutie’s Sports Pub has been closed to the public for several months as it undergoes renovations to become the casino’s new, permanent sports betting location.
