Two people are accused of engaging in a $27,000 theft scheme at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover.

Sonejah Richards, 27, of Forestville, and Allen Hill, 26, of Washington, D.C., face felony and misdemeanor theft and identity fraud-related charges in the Anne Arundel County District Court.

According to charging documents, Richards and Hill were employed at the casino as VIP hosts. They had the authority to issue discretionary comps to guests, including dining vouchers and free slot play, or free money that can be used to play on video lottery terminals in the casino.

Charging documents allege Richards and Hill would create fraudulent player rewards accounts, load discretionary comps onto player rewards cards and pass those cards off to the same two players.
