Maryland’s six casinos had a strong showing in May 2025, generating a combined $176.4 million in revenue from slot machines and table games, according to figures released by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
The total marks the seventh-highest monthly revenue since casino gaming launched in the state and represents a 1.9% increase over May 2024.
The gains extended to state coffers, with casino contributions totaling $76.1 million for the month — up $1.7 million, or 2.2%, compared to the same period last year.
Of that amount, $54.9 million was directed to the state’s Education Trust Fund, which saw a year-over-year increase of 2.2%, or roughly $1.2 million.
