The Macau SAR government recorded revenue from gaming tax of MOP$7.15 billion (US$889 million) in May, down 9.9% compared with April’s gaming tax revenue of MOP$7.94 billion (US$986 million) although 25.4% higher year-on-year.
The May figure reflects Macau’s gross gaming revenue from the month of April, with the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau having previously reported April GGR of MOP$18.55 billion (US$2.30 billion).
For the first five months of 2024 combined, gaming tax has amounted to MOP$37.0 billion (US$4.6 billion), an increase of 78.2% compared with the same period last year, according to information from the Financial Services Bureau (DSF).
