Macau’s gaming operators generated gross gaming revenues of $1.99 billion in November, up 435% year-on-year although down on the post-COVID record of $2.42 billion in October.
The November result continued the SAR’s strong recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, with analysts having estimated that mass gaming revenues are already back to 100% or better of 2019 levels, pushing FY23 revenues above US$20 billion.
It had previously been anticipated that November GGR would be lower than October, which was aided by the National Day Golden Week holiday.
