Macau’s gaming regulator, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), reported industry-wide gross gaming revenue of MOP$22.6 billion (US$2.81 billion) in January, representing a 24.0% increase compared to the same month last year.
The figure was also 8.2% higher than in December, when GGR was MOP$20.89 billion (US$2.61 billion). As previously reported by Inside Asian Gaming, Macau-wide GGR totaled MOP$247.4 billion (US$30.9 billion) in 2025 – up 9.1% on the FY24 tally.
The January result comes off the back of a strong start to the month, with analysts having pointed to an improved VIP win rate and favorable visa and money exchange conditions.
