Macau’s casinos recorded gross gaming revenue of MOP$22.13 billion (US$2.73 billion) in July, up 19.0% year-on-year and setting a new post-pandemic record, according to information from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
The month-on-month rise comes largely unexpected, with Q3 generally considered to be a low season in Macau ahead of the next Golden Week holiday in October. May and June had stood out as the two highest GGR months for the Macau gaming industry since the pandemic prior to today’s results release.
July’s GGR result continues the recent surge in revenues when compared with the prior year period, helping push industry-wide GGR for the first seven months of 2025 combined to MOP$140.9 billion (US$17.4 billion), representing a 6.5% year-on-year increase.
