Macau’s casinos recorded gross gaming revenue of MOP$21.19 billion (US$2.62 billion) in May, making it the biggest month of 2025 so far but also the largest since borders reopened in January 2023.
According to information from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), May’s result was up 5.0% year-on-year as well as being 12.4% higher than in April, when GGR came in at MOP$18.86 billion (US$2.34 billion). The figure represented recovery to 81.7% of May 2019 levels. (MOP$25.95)
For the first five months of 2025 combined, GGR reached MOP$97.71 billion (US$12.1 billion), 1.7% higher year-on-year.
