Macau’s gross gaming revenues reached MOP$18.3 billion (US$2.28 billion) in September, representing a 6.0% year-on-year improvement but down 17.5% compared with August’s post-pandemic high of MOP$22.16 billion (US$2.76 billion).

The sequential decline in September GGR was predicted by industry analysts, who had warned earlier in the month of a seasonal slowdown. Revenues were also impacted by Super Typhoon Ragasa, which last week forced all Macau casinos to close their doors for 33 hours and interfered with entry points.

As a result, September ranked as the second lowest month in terms of total GGR so far this year, behind only January.

For the first nine months of 2025 combined, GGR is up 7.1% year-on-year to MOP$181.3 billion (US$22.6 billion).
