A quarterly economic report reveals casino revenue in the Shreveport-Bossier area is up thanks to Bossier City’s newest gaming spot.

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana had its grand opening in February. In July, it brought in almost 125,000 people, doubling the numbers seen by casinos like Sam’s Town, Boomtown, and Horseshoe. The economic report says Live! was responsible for the casino market going up 5% in the second quarter and nearly 15% since last year.

However, the report also shows Boomtown, Margaritaville, Sam’s Town, and Bally’s are seeing a decrease in revenue from the past two quarters. For the moment, the market itself remains steady.
