Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc., a Pennsylvania-based company, said it will pick up much of the cost for the move and renovation. GLPI pegged the cost of the work at more than $141 million. The Queen Casino & Entertainment will operate the gambling hall and pay rent to GLPI.

Peter Carlino, chairman and CEO of GLPI, said in a statement the company made the move based on the Queen’s proven ability to renovate a casino and grow the gaming market.
