Genting Malaysia has announced the retirement of long-time executive and current President Lee Choong Yan, who has been redesignated as a Senior Advisor.
According to information filed by the company, Lee was redesignated as Senior Advisor and Executive Director on 1 March and will retire as Senior Advisor on 30 April. From 1 May 2026 he will be redesignated again as non-independent non-executive director.
His retirement will effectively bring to an end a 30-year career with Genting Malaysia, including the past 20 years in senior executive roles. Appointed President and COO of the company on 1 August 2006, he joined the Board of Directors on 1 January 2020 and was named President and Executive Director on 1 April 2022.
