Three casinos in Downtown Las Vegas have pledged to stretch Canadian dollars a little further to attract visitors from the Great White North.
Circa, The D and Golden Gate say they will treat Canadian dollars as U.S. dollars across select gaming, hotel and beverage offerings, now through August 31.
The “At Par” commitment means eligible Canadian guests will receive $1 USD in value for every $1 CAD spent, regardless of the daily exchange rate.
A spokesperson says the goal is to provide Canadians with an immediate financial advantage and alleviate conversion stress. The Canadian dollar is historically weaker than its U.S. counterpart, with $1 USD equal to $1.38 CAD as of Thursday morning.
