The Greater Las Vegas Short-Term Rental Association now wants the Supreme Court to rule on the constitutionality of short-term rental regulations in Clark County.
The association has been fighting a county ordinance to license, regulate and enforce violations of short-term rentals through a lawsuit filed in August. Last month, a District Court judge issued a preliminary injunction finding that portions of the ordinance are unconstitutional.
Although the preliminary injunction was granted in the rental association’s favor, the group appealed to the Supreme Court this week because District Judge Jessica Peterson did not address the entirety of its claims, according to Jacqueline Flores, president and director of the short-term rental association.
