The Las Vegas police officer accused of robbing two casinos and trying to rob a third before he was caught this past weekend is now facing federal charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s office for Nevada filed a complaint alleging Caleb Rogers robbed Red Rock Casino on Nov. 12 and Aliante Casino on Jan. 6 before he was taken into custody after trying to rob the Rio on Sunday.
Rogers has already been charged by the Clark County District Attorney’s office in connection with the attempted robbery at the Rio. Local prosecutors alleged he robbed the other two casinos, but no details on those cases had been released until Friday’s filing.
