A stretch of Boulder Highway will close overnight this week to accommodate crews as they implode the Eastside Cannery’s hotel tower.
The temporary closure of Boulder Highway will occur between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, between Harmon Avenue and Sun Valley Drive, the Nevada Department of Transportation announced Monday.
“A detour will be in place with law enforcement and temporary traffic control on site,” NDOT spokeswoman Kelsey McFarland said in a statement.
The implosion of the hotel, that has been closed since the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, is set to occur at 2 a.m. Thursday.
