The Culinary Union in Nevada has called for a boycott of Rampart Casino in Summerlin, blaming an ongoing labor dispute between the casino’s owner and workers at a Canadian hotel. Ted Pappageorge, secretary-treasurer for the Culinary Union, said the labor dispute is at odds with their values.

Union leaders also called for the Nevada Gaming Control Board to look into why Shirazalli Jafferali Lalji is still listed as having an active gaming license for Rampart Casino when he died in 2020.
