The Athletics welcomed droves of fans into their Las Vegas ballpark experience center Saturday to get a glimpse of the team’s future home on the Strip.
Around 1,600 people on the A’s season-ticket priority list reserved a spot for the sold-out open house at the center, located in UnCommons in the southwest valley. They got to check out the stadium model, A’s World Series trophies and the immersive cube, giving fans a look at various views inside and outside of the $2 billion ballpark.
A’s president Marc Badain said Saturday that the franchise will start to sell seats Monday behind home plate after nearly selling out its suite offerings in the stadium.
