January was a big month for Kansas sports betting. To begin the year, Kansas set a new sports betting handle record with $206 million.

The state’s previous high was $186.3 million in November 2022. Most of the gambling came from online platforms; regardless, Kansas sports betting is resonating with customers.

For January, the state’s six online operators recorded $196.7 million in online betting handle, while the four retail sportsbooks added $9.4 million.  On the revenue side, Kansas sports betting generated $5,991,876 for operators, according to data from the Kansas Lottery…

The state’s four casinos have also received an added boost from sports betting. In January, Kansas casinos reported a 10.62% increase in revenue compared to January 2022.
