Park City is preparing to welcome a number of new developments that will reshape the town of about 8,800 people neighboring Wichita over the next few years. The latest development comes from the Crosswinds Casino as they break ground on an expansion, the city says will bring hundreds of jobs to the area.
“We’ll be building onto the south end of our present property, a 40,000 square-foot gaming floor with our 1,400 machines,” said Crosswinds Casino General Manager Kevin Lien.
The expanded game floor and new hotel in Crosswinds’ expansion are expected to bring more than 300 jobs to Park City.
Other new developments like Champtown, a new city center with more housing and a new, larger senior center and a second casino hope to have similar impacts.
