Boyd Gaming has partnered with Laham Development of Wichita and submitted an application to build and operate a historic horse-racing gaming facility in Park City.

Boyd Gaming says they want to build the Diamond Jo historical horse-racing gaming facility near Hartman Arena off of I-135 and that it would cost $160 million.

If the application is approved, the facility would feature a casino floor with roughly 1,000 historical horse-racing units, a steakhouse, sports bar and grill and the very first Amazon Go store in Kansas, along with conference halls and other amenities.

Diamond Jo would bring hundreds of job to Park City and Boyd Gaming says they will donate $1 million a year to local non-profits that provide services to local veterans and $250,000 a year for problem gambling treatment resources.
