According to a criminal complaint filed in Lyon County District Court, 51-year-old Lisa Helene Kadinger-Meinders and 54-year-old William Albert Crossley III were both arrested Tuesday, March 24th, by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators allege the case centers around an incident at the Grand Falls Casino near Larchwood, where a slot jackpot of more than $10,000 was won.
Authorities say Kadinger-Meinders was the actual winner of the jackpot, but the two allegedly arranged for Crossley to claim the winnings instead. According to the affidavit, the arrangement was allegedly made to avoid tax reporting requirements and to prevent potential impacts on financial benefits.
