Project leaders have begun construction on a key portion of an $83 million renovation project at a Dubuque casino.
Casino leaders, elected officials and area residents alike gathered this afternoon at the Q Casino + Resort for a ceremonial groundbreaking on what will become a seven-story boutique hotel tower adjacent to the casino.
Around 150 people attended the celebration, where updated floor plans and branding were announced for the hotel. The hotel — named Key Hotel — is expected to open in fall of 2025 and will include 90 guest rooms, as well as a rooftop restaurant and bar
The hotel will be part of Hilton’s “Tapestry Collection,” a set of independent hotels that look to mirror and support the communities in which they operate.
