Wayne County officials are exploring the possibility of attracting a casino here.
“Richmond is on a Roll” is the name of a new public education campaign the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce started to focus on educating the public with “clear, factual information about the potential opportunity” for Richmond and the county for an Indiana casino license.
The campaign comes after a 2025 Indiana Gaming Commission study and conversations with local business, education and community leaders, according to a news release. A Chamber review focused on how the county’s “location, infrastructure and access to out-of-state markets” could generate new revenue for the state rather than shifting activity from existing casinos.
