Horseshoe Hammond Casino was fined $100,000 by Indiana Gaming Commission members after it was discovered that an underage individual was allowed inside the casino and to place wagers multiple times in November, despite his fake ID failing an authenticity scan each time it was entered.

According to the IGC, a report by Veridocs, the technology firm used by Horseshoe to scan identification, confirmed that the underage individual’s Pennsylvania ID had been scanned by Veridocs 40 times between Nov. 1 and Nov. 17 by 18 different security officers, and failed all 40 times.

The offender, an 18-year-old man, was ultimately discovered on Nov. 18, when the ID failed a scan at an Illinois casino.
