Months after leaving the station and battling COVID-19, longtime WAVE3 anchor and meteorologist Lauren Jones has announced her next career move: she’s joining the marketing team at Indiana’s French Lick Resort.
Her new position will involve, among other responsibilities, “emceeing events” at the West Baden Springs Hotel, French Lick Springs Hotel and French Lick Casino and being a “face of the resort on social media,” the company said in Tuesday statement.
“After I had COVID, I knew I wanted to use my skills as a journalist to share hopeful news, instead of heartbreaking news,” Jones said in the statement.
