Allen County residents will have their first opportunity to publicly voice opinions on a proposed casino next week when the County Council holds a public meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Memorial Coliseum, where officials expect a large crowd.
County Council member Lindsey Hammond said the public’s voice has been missing from the casino discussion so far.
“I do,” Hammond said when asked if the public’s voice has been left out. “I think a lot of people were caught off guard by the letter that the commissioners and the mayor signed onto and presented to the legislature.”
