Ohio’s casinos and racinos have, again, broken their yearly record for revenue, doing so for the 10th time in 11 years. The state’s 11 casinos and racinos brought in a combined $2.38 billion in 2023, up from $2.33 billion in 2022, according to data compiled from Casino and Lottery commission reports.
Ohio’s four casinos accounted for just under $1.02 billion of that revenue, while the state’s seven racinos took in just under $1.37 billion.
The casinos and racinos have broken the yearly record every year since they started existing in 2012 except in 2020, a year plagued by COVID-19 shutdowns. They’ve kept revenue up year-over-year despite 2021′s hot streak.
Combined, the gambling facilities took in $2.31 billion in 2021, up from $1.94 billion in 2019.
