IMG Arena has acquired virtual sports and casino games provider Leap Gaming to enhance its sports betting content portfolio.
The deal builds on IMG Arena and Leap’s existing partnership, with the pair hoping to ‘officialise’ virtual sports with the addition of official logos, team names, venues and other branded assets. Through this partnership, IMG Arena and Nevis-based Leap have launched official virtual sports betting products with Nascar and EuroLeague.
IMG Arena’s acquisition will see the agency giant’s betting subsidiary combine its ‘Event Centre’ product suite with Leap’s 3D and motion capture technologies to provide customers, including sports federations and sportsbook operators, with content designed to enrich the fan experience.
