Growth within the online casino sector pushed gambling revenue in Denmark up 19.6% year-on-year in May, while the country also reported a month-on-month increase.
Total market revenue for May reached DKK683 million ($107 million), according to national regulator Spillemyndigheden. This was also 2.7% more than the figure reported in April this year and the highest monthly total so far in 2025…
Physical slot machines drew DKK105 million in monthly revenue in May. This was 8.3% ahead of the previous year, with machines in gaming halls generating 79.7% of the total. The other 20.3% came from units placed in restaurants.
This was in contrast to April’s figures, which showed a 3.6% year-on-year drop in revenue in this sector.
