Rates for standard Strip hotel rooms for the Feb. 9-11 weekend of Super Bowl LVIII currently average $942 a night, but one gaming analyst expects the rates to fluctuate.

Wells Fargo Securities gaming analyst Daniel Politzer surveyed room rates for 16 Strip hotels operated by MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, Wynn Resorts and The Venetian.

He told investors in a research note Wednesday that the average room rate had declined 1.5 percent from a week ago. Politzer said the rates don’t include resort fees and are for either a standard king or double/queen room.

Over the past month, Politzer said MGM’s room rates for its Strip properties have increased 13 percent for Super Bowl weekend and currently average $1,078 a night.
