During the first quarter, Monaco-based Société des Bains de Mer and its subsidiaries generated a 12 per cent increase in turnover compared to the same period last year with gaming up and hotels achieving a personal best.
The gaming sector recorded a turnover of €50.6m [$59.5m] for the past quarter compared to €47m [$55m] last year. The volume (Drop) in Table Games increased, partially offset by an unfavorable risk at the beginning of the year. The consolidated turnover of the S.B.M. Group amounted to €244m [$287m] compared to €218.4m [$256.9] previously, an increase of €25.5m.
All sectors of activity showed an increase in turnover with hotel revenue reaching a new record of €148.9m compared to €130.3m in the same period last year, an increase of €18.6m.
